Altus Cancer Center: When cancer is close to home, so are we.
The ALTUS Difference
Altus Cancer Center is a different kind of cancer treatment center.
From your very first encounter you'll immediately sense what sets us apart fromother cancer treatment centers. Education and understanding about your diagnosis and treatment options are just the beginning. Our outpatient setting
is soothing and restful. Our staff knows you by name, and our doctor's commitment to keep you informed and answer all of your questions instills a confidence other cancer treatment centers just can't offer. At Altus Cancer Center, we believe that the best cancer treatment is delivered not only through practicing the very best medicine, but from the heart as well.
Altus Patient Navigation Program: helping patients find their way
The fear of cancer diagnosis can be a frightening, confusing and overwhelming experience. That is why Altus offers personalized Patient Navigation services that are uniquely tailored to you.
As your personal Navigator, I will be by your side from day one to help you understand test results, diagnosis, and treatment expectations. Additionally, I can coordinate care between your specialists, schedule further diagnostic testing if necessary, identify useful resources for you such as pharmaceutical, transportation and lodging assistance as well as support groups for you and your family. For information or to schedule an appointment please call 409.981.5517 or email us at AltusPatientNavigation@altushealth.com
Altus Cancer Center: In the Community
As part of our commitment to the community, Altus Cancer Center offers free outreach to local groups in our community at health fairs, cancer screening, education, and awareness events. We also participate in events supporting the American Cancer Society and celebrate with our patients and their caregivers at annual recognition events.
Pictured at left is our community mural that hangs on the wall of our radiation treatement area. The mural was created by patients, survivors, their caregivers, family and friends during our 2012 Breat Cancer Awareness Event.
