ORANGE COUNTY - From LC-M - Friends of Don Anderson are conducting a fundraiser to help provide financial assistance for Don and his family following a devastating illness.
Tickets to win a Gravely ZT34 riding lawn mower may be purchased for $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20 from First Methodist Church (Norma Bergeron 409-886-7466) from Orange County (Jill Shores 409- 882-7858), or the LCM Administration Building, 6586 FM 1130, 409-883-2232.
Don, the President of the Board of Trustees for the Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD, had a tumor removed from inside his spine on May 23, 2012. Due to complications from the surgery, he has been paralyzed from the waist down since the middle of June.
Don has been active throughout the City and County for many years and served as a City Council member and adjunct instructor for Lamar.
He is a member of First United Methodist Church of Orange, was a member of the Navy Reserve and retired from Orange County with 29 years of service.
Don has worked with the Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD School Board for eleven years and is in his second term as Board President.
