JEFFERSON COUNTY - by Scott Lawrence - Interstate 10 has now reopened in both directions following a Thanksgiving Day collision near the Jefferson/Chambers County line involving at least 100 vehicles, including a number of tractor trailers, that killed two people and injured dozens, several critically, and kept thousands of holiday travelers from getting to their destinations.
80-90 people were hurt, 10-12 critically or seriously, according to the DPS and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The DPS identifies the victims as Debra Leggio, 60, and Vincent Leggio, 64, of Pearland.

The multiple vehicle accident was reported at about 8:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day on I-10 near Hamshire Road close to the Jefferson/Chambers County line between Beaumont and Houston, according to information DPS Trooper Stephanie Davis provided to KFDM News.
The man and woman who died were in a 2007 Chevy Suburban crushed by a tractor trailer. Trooper Davis says they were from Pearland, near Houston.
