Ray Woodard gets 2 year extension at Lamar
BEAUMONT – Lamar University football coach Ray Woodard has agreed to a two-year contract extension that will run through the 2014 season.
The deal was announced by Lamar’s director of athletics Jason Henderson on Monday. The announcement comes on the heels of Lamar’s 52-21 homecoming victory over McMurry University.
Now in his third season, Woodard has guided the Cardinals to a 12-17 record since the football program was reinstated prior to the 2010 season. Woodard led the program to nine wins through his first two seasons to tie for the second best two-year coaching start in school history.
