RB Sims leaves LU Football program
BEAUMONT – Lamar University running back Herschel Sims plans to transfer at the end of the semester and has left the football team immediately, announced LU head coach Ray Woodard on Tuesday.
Sims has played in seven games for the Cardinals this season after transferring from Oklahoma State and leads the team with 388 rushing yards. The former Abilene High School star will remain in school for the rest of the semester before transferring to another four-year institution.
