Update: Name released in fatal accident
ORANGE COUNTY - PRESS RELEASE - A woman has been identified following an accident on Interstate 10 at 867 mile marker in Orange County.
A 1999 Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on IH-10. The driver of the vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason and the vehicle overturned. The driver was a 20 year old white female who was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:53pm by Judge Menard.
The deceased in yesterday's crash on Interstate 10 has been identified as 20 year old Brittany Michelle Lewis of Vidor.
All four occupants of the vehicle were minors with ages ranging from 4 to 16. Their names will not be released at this time.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
The passengers in the vehicle received minor injuries and are all listed in stable condition at St. Elizabeth hospital.
The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate this fatal crash and will release information as it becomes available.
