Separate problems leave schools, thousands of Entergy customers in the dark

SOUTHEAST TEXAS - A power outage left several schools and thousands of Entergy customers in the dark Friday.

A problem with a substation knocked out power to about 2,500 customers in Nederland, including the high school, Central Middle and Langham Elementary.

A separate problem with a transmission line cut power to about 9,000 customers in Orange County, including Lamar State College.
