BEAUMONT - First responders are on the scene of an 18-wheeler fire on Interstate-10 this morning.
The west-bound lanes of Interstate 10 are shut down between College Street and Washington Blvd.
Dispatchers say a driver made a call just before 4 a.m. about an 18-wheeler on fire.
Beaumont Fire/Rescue dispatchers says the tractor trailer was hauling sugar when one of its rear tires caught fire.
Police expect the road to remain closed until 6 a.m. They're asking motorists to exit Interstate-10 at College street. Drivers can re-enter the freeway at Washington.
