Another hot start for the coast and the lakes. With moisture in place, we could see a repeat of the isolated showers and t-storms as we saw yesterday. Highs today will again reach the lower 90's. By Friday and through the weekend, we will see the moisture out and hot temps on the rise. Look for mid and upper 90's by Sunday and Monday.

Driver crashes into P.A. school, leaves large hole in wall

PORT ARTHUR - A driver suffered serious injuries when he crashed into a Port Arthur school Monday night.

Police say the man ran a stop sign while traveling east on 8th Street near DeQueen Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m. and slammed into DeQueen Elementary. The car broke through the brick wall and ended up 10-15 feet inside an administrative office, knocking down file cabinets and insulation.

First responders treated the 39-year-old man and took him by ambulance to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

Investigators are trying to find out why the man's car crashed into the school.
