If you really want to raise the brow of the judge, you might try stealing his wifes car. Officers say thats what happened on Friday morning, when someone stole a car from the home of District Judge Craig Mixson at Buna.
Deputies from the Jasper County Sheriffs Department were called to the location shortly after 9:00, when Judge Mixsons wife, Laurie Mixson, reported that her Infinity QX-56 was missing.
Officers throughout the area immediately began looking for the vehicle and reportedly spotted it a short time later near Mauriceville, where it was recovered and a female driver was taken into custody.
Sheriff Mitchel Newman said Friday afternoon that the woman, who was driving her car and a young baby who was with her, were taken to a Beaumont hospital, where they were at last word still undergoing treatment.
Newman said he was told that baby was extremely dehydrated and that the complete circumstances of the incident were still unknown as officers continue to investigate the case.
