Free medical services offered by Army unit

FERRIDAY, La. (AP) -- An Army Reserve unit will be providing free medical services in Ferriday from Aug. 8-16 as part of its training.

The Town Talk reports ( ) the clinic will be set up at the Central Louisiana Technical Community College.

Services include non-emergency treatment, medical exams, immunizations, dental exams, extractions, fillings and teeth cleanings and eye exams.

A veterinary clinic will be set up at Concordia Community Center, where pets can be vaccinated, spayed and neutered.

All services are free.

Residents of Concordia, Catahoula and Tensas parishes and Adams County, Miss., are eligible.
   Visits are by appointment only. Anyone interested should call 318-757-3411.
   Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sunday 1-6 p.m.
