Beaumont Police release name of woman murdered at motel
BEAUMONT - Beaumont Police have released the name of a woman who was murdered at a motel.
Detectives say Kendra Crump, 27, lived in Monroe, Louisiana. An autopsy is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say robbery appears to be the motive for Crump's shooting death and an assault that injured a man.
Police are searching for two men they call persons of interest in the homicide and assault.

Police received a 911 call at about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday from a woman who said her friend had been shot at the Knights Inn, 4089 I-10 South in Beaumont. The woman had been shot in the upper body. Paramedics transported her to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth where she died. A man was hit in the head during the attack.
According to detectives, the victims were registered guests at the Knights Inn Motel. Police say it appears robbery led to a fight involving several people in one of the motel rooms. During the altercation, the woman was shot.
Doctors at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth are treating the man for head injuries. They say he's in good condition. He lives in the area and detectives plan to interview when he's released from the hospital.
Detectives are interviewing possible witnesses to determine the circumstances that led to the murder.
Police are searching for two possible persons of interest. Witnesses say they're black men, one of whom is described as tall and thin with short dreadlocks and wearing white shorts. The second is described as large and stocky with no other description.
They may have left the motel in a gold colored four-door vehicle.
