Man surrenders on charge of murdering uncle
ORANGE COUNTY - A man has surrendered to law enforcement officers on a charge of murdering his uncle in Orange.
Investigators accuse Christopher Philmon, 22, of stabbing and killing his uncle Roy James Philmon, early Monday morning on Bilbo in Orange.
Police say Christopher Philmon left in his uncle's' car and surrendered at a store in Houston.

On Monday, September 23, 2013, at 12:34AM Orange Police Officers responded to 407 Bilbo Orange, TX. Officers found the body of Roy James Philmon, 50 years of age. It appeared Roy Philmon had been stabbed.
The investigation revealed the suspect in the homicide was the victims nephew, Christopher Philmon (22 years of age) who lived at the residence with the victim. The suspect had fled in the victims vehicle.
Officers notified surrounding agencies in Texas and Louisiana to be on the look out for the vehicle.
At approximately 9:15AM, Christopher Philmon walked into a store on Hwy 290 in Houston, TX and asked the clerk to call the police. He then turned himself in to the Harris County Sheriffs Deputy that responded to the scene.
