We still have an active weather pattern for Sunday into next week with locally heavy thunderstorms developing with daytime heating. Some of the storms will produce gusty winds and frequent lightning strikes. Rain chances remain high for mid week as a cold front sags south into East Texas.
Gas prices see another decline
Another decline in gas prices brings drivers more savings at the pumps.
According to AAA Texas, the statewide average for a gallon of regular gas is now 3.11, five cents less than last week.
Nationally, drivers are now paying an average of $3.35 a gallon, a drop of three cents.
And locally, the price is averaging about 3.10 a gallon, a decline of four cents from last week.
Analysts say Texans are paying about $43.50 to fill up the typical 14-gallon size fuel tank.
