Boy transported following Sunday accident
WILDWOOD - A 6-year-old boy was transported with non-life threatening injuries following an accident involving a passenger vehicle and a dirt bike Sunday on FM 3063 in Wildwood, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A 31-year-old Wildwood man named Zachary Nafsus and his 6-year-old son were riding dirt bikes west on FM 3063, according to the investigating trooper.
The driver of a Jaguar, 74-year-old Peggy Barras of Wildwood, did not see the dirt bikes in the roadway and struck the bike driven by the 6-year-old from the rear, according to the news release.
The child was taken by medical helicopter to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston with non-life threatening injuries. The father, Zachary Nafsus, was cited for operating an unregistered vehicle on a public roadway, according to the news release.
