Two people arrested for possession in Orange County
Two people are in jail after being arrested for possession of a controlled substance Thursday afternoon in Orange County, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives with the Orange County Sheriff's Office Special Services Division were patrolling the area of FM 105 near the Orangefield Elementary School at about 1 p.m. when they saw a black Chevrolet pick-up truck veer onto the shoulder of the roadway and then saw the vehicle travel across the center dividing line on FM 105 near Granger Lane, a news release stated. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
As the vehicle was pulling over, detectives saw an object, which was later determined to be a methamphetamine pipe, thrown from the window of the vehicle, the news release stated.
Detectives searched the vehicle and located about 14 grams of methamphetamine hidden inside the truck, the news release stated.
And along with the methamphetamine, detectives located synthetic marijuana, numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia, and two pellet pistols inside of the vehicle, the news release stated.
The driver was identified as 31-year-old Scott Patrick Shaunesey and the passenger was identified as 22-year-old Levi Ryan Gollihare, the news release stated.
Both were arrested for possession of a controlled substance PG 1 in a drug free zone, felony one, the release stated.
And both were transported to the Orange County Jail where they remain in custody.
