Fundraiser for family of two Lumberton sisters who died after crash

KFDM News - A Lumberton community has come together to raise money to help support the family of two sisters who died following a crash on Feb. 3.
Organizers are planning the fundraiser for the family of 15-year-old Courtney Sterling and 20-year-old Connely Burns. Burns' unborn child also died.

The mother of the two sisters was also involved in the crash. She's still in a hospital, recovering from her injuries.

The fundraiser includes a chili cook-off and auction. Organizers are looking for chili cook-off teams. The fee is $100.

Organizers are also asking for auction items. The event will include live music, a car show and bake sale.

It's scheduled for Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lumberton High School.
