Suspect in triple homicide taken into custody

UPDATE: Joe Frederick Hawkins was taken into custody Monday afternoon in Groves, according to Sgt. Rob Flores of the Beaumont Police Department.

Beaumont Detectives have identified the three family members killed in last nights triple homicide. They were 33-year-old Anthony Ray Hawkins, 30-year-old Reshowna Hawkins, and 34-year-old Darrell Hawkins. Judge Ransom Jones has ordered autopsies that are being performed today.

The 21-year-old female who suffered multiple gunshot wounds is in stable condition.

Officers are still attempting to locate Joe Frederick Hawkins, 26-year-old Beaumont resident, believed to be the suspect in this capital murder. He was last seen in a silver 2002 or 2003 Buick Century with Texas license plates DS4P770. The vehicle has dark tinted windows and a missing rear passenger-side hubcap.

We believe that Hawkins is armed and dangerous.
