Another hot start for the coast and the lakes. With moisture in place, we could see a repeat of the isolated showers and t-storms as we saw yesterday. Highs today will again reach the lower 90's. By Friday and through the weekend, we will see the moisture out and hot temps on the rise. Look for mid and upper 90's by Sunday and Monday.

Hamshire Fannett student remains hospitalized

A 13-year-old Hamshire Fannet student remains hospitalized after she and her 14-year-old brother were hit by a truck pulling a trailer in early February.
Cecilia Olvera and her brother were in their driveway they had just stepped off a school bus. Troopers say a truck pulling a trailer swerved to miss the bus and hit the children.

Her mother tells KFDM News that her daughter remains in ICU.

Doctors say she had made progress recently but had a breathing infection and had to be put back on a breathing tube.
She is scheduled to have surgery Tuesday where doctors will install a feeding tube.

Her mother says Cecilia has not been able to talk with her family yet, but is responsive and communicates when she blinks.

Cecilia's brother was released from the hospital in late February, walking with crutches.
