$10,000 reward for information on Exxpress Mart robbery suspects

    Surveillance video of the Exxpress Mart next to Lamar University on Cardinal Dr., shows a man threatening the cashier with a gun, Monday morning.

    The gunman eventually assaulted the cashier leaving him a gash on his head.

    A second suspect in a black hoodie is seen stealing packs of cigarettes.

    We're told between cash and merchandise, nearly $400 was taken.

    The second robbery, Tuesday morning, happened around the same time, shortly after 3 a.m.

    Two men one with a gun and wearing a mask, took nearly $115, cigarettes, the store phone, and the clerks cell phone.

    "Don't ever know when the right time is to come out you got to make sure you come out when it's daylight," Marelene Morrow said, customer. "And not at night time, or you can do it at night time make sure you with a lot of people."

    The Beaumont Police Department says they are following leads, but does not suspect these two robberies are related at this time.

    "We don't want anybody confronting suspects like this at anytime we want you to be a good witnesses, for the clerks just do what you can as peacefully as possible," Officer Carol Riley said, BPD.
