ORANGE COUNTY — An 18-wheeler fire shut down traffic on Interstate 10 in Orange County on Thursday afternoon.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says the crash happened near FM 1442 around 12:30 p.m.
A truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling east on I-10 when it struck the concrete barrier for an unknown reason, according to DPS.
There were no confirmed reports of injuries when DPS notified media at 1:05 p.m.
All eastbound traffic lanes of I-10 near FM 1442, are closed. DPS is urging motorists to find an alternate travel route, or expect delays.
The roadway will remain closed until the crash can be safely cleared from the road and there is no time estimation as to when the roadway will reopen to traffic, according to DPS.
