A day of prayer for Sutherland Springs following mass shooting at church
People across the state and right here in Southeast Texas are praying for the people of Sutherland Springs.
Gov. Greg Abbott declared Sunday, Nov. 12, a day of prayer following the tragedy that left 26 people dead, including eight children.
It's being called the worst mass shooting in a house of worship in American history.
"We send our love to Sutherland Spring, Texas," said Pastor Randy Feldschau of Cathedral in the Pines Church. "That little Baptist church, their pastor, his family and his parishioner ... our heart reaches out to them."
KFDM/Fox 4's Chris Mullooly reports how a Southeast Texas church remembered Sutherland Springs.
