Beaumont named a Comeback City

Beaumont knows how to bounce back.

Using 10 years of crime data from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting program created a list of ‘Comeback Cities: Declining Crime Across the U.S.

The list show cities across the U.S. that have made major strides in combating crime to become safer cities for their citizens.

Beaumont has made the list for its decrease in crime rates over a 10-year span.

The city came in ranked at 93rd overall with a decrease of in total crime from 2006 to 2016.

Other cities in Texas that made the list were Laredo and Corpus Christi.
