Beaumont PD: Construction worker killed in crash on Cardinal Drive

BEAUMONT — A 57-year-old construction worker was killed Wednesday morning after the driver of a pickup truck lost control of the vehicle and hit a member of a road construction crew on Cardinal Drive, Beaumont police said.

Officers responded to eastbound side of the 5600 block of West Cardinal Drive after an auto-pedestrian crash was reported around 11:28 a.m.

Alfred Earl Dingler, 57, of Liberty, died at the scene.

The driver was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

Beaumont PD is investigating the crash.
