Police arrested a 17-year-old from Beaumont and expect more arrests resulting from a home invasion on Pine Street earlier this week.

Darrell Johnson was arrested Thursday after police say he was found trying to hide a stolen vehicle in a wooded area near Nora Street.

The home invasion happened in the 4300 block of Pine Street on Wednesday night around 11 p.m., according to Beaumont PD.

Four armed men entered the residence, stole several items from the home and one of the victim's vehicles.

Two people were taken to a local hospital after Beaumont PD responded to the scene. Police say the injuries were minor.

On Thursday morning, police responded to call about suspicious activity in the 1900 block of Nora. The caller told police it appeared some people were trying to move a stolen vehicle, Beaumont PD said in a news release.

When officers arrived, the men ran away. Two of them were detained and taken to the BPD station.

The vehicle recovered turned out to be the same one stolen the night before, according to BPD. Police say additional stolen property was also found inside Johnson's home.

Johnson was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and taken to the Jefferson County jail. Additional arrests are expected in the case, according to BPD.
