Beaumont water supply pumping station in need of renovations costing up to $5 million
Engineers with the city of Beaumont say they want to make renovations to the water supply pumping station.
City engineers say they want to raise the pumps several feet to prevent them from flooding and cutting off the city's drinking water during major storms like Harvey.
The project could cost the city up to $5 million to make the renovations.
KFDM/Fox 4's Peter Eliopoulos reports it's not clear when the city might receive funding from the state for the project.
