From the The Medical Center of Southeast Texas Beaumont Campus:
"Ms. Becky Ames is transitioning to a new role as a member of the governing board of The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. We are grateful that Ms. Ames will remain part of the team advising hospital leadership moving forward. We thank her for her contributions and service to the community."
Due to a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) survey, The Medical Center of SE Texas Beaumont Campus is temporarily suspending certain procedures while we address the CMS findings. Our emergency room services, sleep services, and outpatient imaging services remain open to the public. We are in touch with all patients who may need to reschedule an appointment. – Jim Olson, Steward Health Care Spokesperson
Medical Center of SETX spokeswoman Katie Celli tells KFDM/Fox 4 it was solely Ames' decision to leave the administrator's position at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas Beaumont Campus. Celli says it has nothing to do with a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services survey that prompted The Medical Center of SE Texas Beaumont Campus to temporarily suspend certain procedures while addressing the CMS findings.
