BEAUMONT —
Early Tuesday morning, the Beaumont Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire broke out at a vacant bike shop at the corner of Park & Bolivar.
"They forced open the front door soon as they forced open the front door they saw heavy fire inside," Scott Wheat, assistant fire chief said.
The bike shop not only caught fire, but set fire to the house next door. Crystal Allen and her family were home at the time, and was forced to run to safety.
"I don't know where we're going to go from here but only God knows he's the one that's in control so I thank God that we got out," Allen said.
