Update: J.P. Releases Name of Port Neches Man Who Drowned:

Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett tells KFDM News 69-year-old David Keith was found at the bottom of his pool on Riley Street. His wife discovered his body this morning in the middle area of the pool.

First responders tried to revive him but couldn't. Burnett says the preliminary cause of death is accidental drowning. He's waiting for toxicology results.

Previous Report: Port Neches Police are investigating the suspected drowning of a 69-year-old man in his pool in Port Neches.

Chief Paul Lemoine tells KFDM the wife of a 69-year-old man discovered his body in their pool on Riley Street near Port Neches Park.

Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett has ordered an autopsy.

According to Lemoine, the man and his wife were outside last night and he remained on the patio when she went inside. She discovered his body at about 7 a.m.
