BPD to host benefit to help officer battle stomach cancer
The Beaumont Police Department is hosting a benefit to help an officer battling stomach cancer.
The benefit will be held Wednesday, November 15, at the police station.
Officers are selling gumbo, sides, and a drink, for $10.

According to BPD, Ky Brown is a 32-year-veteran of the police department.
Brown is also a Lieutenant of the Department's 3rd Watch Patrol, and currently serves as the SWAT Commander.
Bown has recently been diagnosed with stomach cancer and is receiving extensive medical treatment.
