CCSO: Winnie man allegedly caught with 7.1 grams of methamphetamine and guns


    On January 14, 2019, the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division executed a narcotic search warrant at 312 James Street in Winnie, Texas resulting in the arrest of 37 year old Timothy Turner.

    A search of the property revealed a seizure of approximately 7.1 grams of methamphetamine, multiple firearms to include a sawed-off shotgun, rifles, a pistol, and a falsification drug test kit. Turner is currently on parole for a previous felony drug violation.

    Along with being arrested for an arrest warrant relating to Terroristic Threat charges, Turner was also charged with the following offenses:

    Possession of a Controlled Substance – Penalty Group 1 – 4grams<200grams – 2nd degree Felony – Bond, $40,000.00 Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon – 3rd Degree Felony – Bond $40,000.00

    Prohibited Weapon – 3rd Degree Felony – Bond $40,000.00

    Falsification of Drug Test Results – Misdemeanor B – Bond $2,000.00

    Terroristic Threat – Misdemeanor B – Bond, $2,000.00.
