PORT ARTHUR — Port Arthur City Secretary Sherry Bellard is urging voters to come to the polling locations Saturday and decide two races that resulted in runoffs following the November 3 election.
In District 1, former councilman Willie 'Bae' Lewis is in a runoff with Ingrid Holmes. a former Beaumont Health Director. In Position 8, Raymond Scott Jr. and Rev. Donald Frank Sr. are in a runoff.
Bellard says the City Secretary's Office has implemented strict CDC guidelines for health and safety at each polling location. The chart attached to this story specifies the voting locations. Each is open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday. Unlike November, you must vote at the location linked to your particular precinct.
Bellard says only about 750 people voted in-person during the early voting period and the city received about 800 mail-in ballots. The numbers are far below November 3 and she encourages voters to turn out Saturday and help decide the runoff races.
