Law enforcement officers in Jasper County are searching for a man accused of driving a stolen ATV and fleeing from officers after cursing at a game warden and making an obscene gesture at him.

Sheriff Mitchel Newman tells KFDM a manhunt is underway for Jeremy Busby of Kirbyville.

A game warden tried to question Busby at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday about the four wheeler he was riding. Busby drove away down a trail off Highway 63 West, according to Newman.

The sheriff called in deputies from Vernon Parish and their bloodhound. They found the abandoned ATV which had been stolen, according to the sheriff, but no sign of Busby.
