FEMA report reveals how many SETX Harvey victims still not back in their homes
June 1 is the start of a new hurricane season as many Southeast Texans are still recovering from Tropical Storm Harvey.
KFDM/Fox 4's Angel San Juan has numbers from a new FEMA report that shows how the storm continues to impact local residents nine months after Harvey hit.
The numbers show how many Southeast Texans are still out of their homes and living in temporary shelters.
In Hardin County, there are 13 families still staying in FEMA-funded hotels.
In Orange County, there are 75 Harvey affected families in hotels.
In Jefferson County, there are 267 families in hotels.
And, there are many other displaced families in FEMA trailers.
In Hardin County, there are 249 families still living in trailers.
In Orange County, there are 574 families living in FEMA trailers.
In Jefferson County, there are 685 families living in FEMA trailers.
FEMA reports almost 4,000 Texas families are still out of their homes due to Harvey.
FEMA says residents who still need help should log on to DisasterAssistance.gov
