Gas leak prompts shelter in place for some Port Arthur residents
The Port Arthur Fire Department is asking residents near the 4100 block of Griffing Drive to shelter in place while a gas line is under repair.
A gas leak was reported in front of a home on Griffing around 10 a.m.
Texas Gas arrived to repair the leak. There is no word on what caused the leak.
It was not immediately clear how long the repair or shelter in place would last.
The Port Arthur Police Department has Griffing blocked off from Forest Drive to Las Palmas Drive.
