How you can help local Coast Guard workers not being paid during government shutdown

From The Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce:

Due to the Government Shutdown our Coast Guard service men and women are not getting paid.

In an effort to assist them through this situation, we are asking for cash/check contributions be written to: PAISC, (Port Arthur International Seafarer’s Center) with "Coast Guard Foundation" written in the Memo field. The Seafarers' Center agrees to accept the donations for this fund, as they are a 501c3 not for profit entity, and donors can receive a donation letter for tax purposes. Our goal is $22,000.00. All these service people are located in the Port Arthur service area at the following units:

US Coast Guard Marine Station Unit Port Arthur

    US Coast Guard Station Sabine

    Aids To Navigation Team Sabine

    Coast Guard Cutter Stingray

Liquefied Gas Carrier National Center of Expertise (located at MSU Port Arthur)

We have chosen this avenue of assistance in an effort to respond rapidly and to meet all Coast Guard guidelines for receiving money, goods and services to each coast guard serviceman/woman.

All contributions may be mailed or delivered to:

    Port Arthur International Seafarers' Center

    ATTN: Coast Guard Foundation

    P.O. Box 1646

    Port Arthur, TX 77641-1646

If bringing a donation to the Center, the physical address is:

    401 Houston Avenue

    Port Arthur, TX 77640
