Jefferson Co. rancher pleading for help says inmates escaping and invading his property

Jefferson County rancher, who is pleading for help, says inmates escaping from nearby prison and invading his property.

A Jefferson County rancher is pleading for help to fight a persistent problem on his property -- inmates escaping from the neighboring federal prison camp and invading his ranch.

Four inmates escaped from the minimum security federal prison camp over the weekend, and one of them remains on the loose tonight (Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019).

Their escape route is the private ranch of Mike Latta, who says federal authorities aren't doing anything to stop the inmates.

KFDM/Fox 4's Angel San Juan has the report.
