Major Drive road extension in Jefferson County already crumbling, falling apart
It appears Jefferson County taxpayers may have purchased a "lemon" in regards to a new road that's already falling apart.
Taxpayers paid close to $2 million dollars for the Major Drive road extension, but now the road is crumbling.
The Jefferson County engineering department designed the road, and the head of engineering admits the road isn't strong enough to handle the large trucks that make trips to a landfill.
