CYPRESS -- A man has committed suicide after investigators say he shot and killed his estranged wife and wounded his daughter outside a Cypress church Thursday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies found the man's body inside the bathroom of his motel room.
The SWAT team was called to the W. Sam Houston Tollway hotel during a search for the suspect, 62-year-old Arthur Edigin.
Investigators say he shot five to six times into a vehicle occupied by his wife and daughter outsidethe Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Cypress.
His 67-year-old estranged wife was killed and his 32-year-old daughter was in critical condition but expected to survive. Officials believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.
The suspect's 17-month-old granddaughter was also in the car but unhurt.
