Preparing for the biggest party in Southeast Texas is no small task, and its the reason organizers with the Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas spend so long making sure each year is a success, but organizers say they're doing something new to bring in more customers.
"You can get in for the whole weekend for $25," says Mardi Gras SETX Chariman Tim Romero.
Pre-sale tickets marked at almost half the price you pay at the gate to draw a family friendly environment, hoping local draws like Deandre Nico and the normal concerts/vendors and good times come along with it.
"You can't worry about things you can't control," says Romero. "Last year was the first time in 26 years we had what you'd call a full rain-out for the full 4 days."
