Police: Beaumont man arrested for 'multiple' aggravated assault charges
A 54-year-old Beaumont man was arrested Thursday after police say he rammed his vehicle into at least four others and threatened officers who responded to the scene.
It happened Thursday around 5:09 p.m., according to Beaumont police. Officers responded near Calder Avenue and West Lucas, where they found Kevin Boyle still inside of his vehicle with the doors locked, police say.
Boyle was asked to exit the vehicle but refused and threatened to harm officers, according to police. He was taken to a local hospital for medical clearance before police booked him into the Jefferson County jail on four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say there were several other vehicles Boyle hit but left the scene before officers arrived.
Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed this crime or whose vehicle was hit (and did not already make a report) to call Beaumont PD at 409-832-1234.
