Port Arthur officials and Drainage District 7 address drainage issues

It's been almost a year since Tropical Storm Harvey hit Southeast Texas.

And Thursday, Port Arthur leaders and residents are going over what went wrong and what needs to improve.

'Unite Port Arthur' hosted a meeting aiming to bring the public along with city, county, state and federal officials onto the same page.

One of the main topics, nearly $730 million in federal funding to raise, expand and shore up the levee in Port Arthur.

Taxpayers will need to match $250 million over 30 years, and not everyone is on board.
