Beaumont man briefly runs from police; later caught by leaving identification card in car

On Friday, August 17, 2018 at about 10:15 a.m., Beaumont Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Delaware & Concord.

The driver of the vehicle pulled into a parking lot, then fled on foot.

Prior to fleeing the vehicle, the suspect left his jail ID card in the front seat.

Officers were notified that the suspect, identified as Ja’Quale Lee, a 25 year old Beaumont resident, had an outstanding warrant for a Parole Violation.

After a brief search of the area, Lee was located in the area of Arthur and Ironton. He was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail for Evading Detention and his Parole Violation
