BEAUMONT -- Friday morning, Ja'Quale Lee took off running near Concord and Delaware in the northeast part of Beaumont.
Police were trying to stop Lee when he pulled into a parking lot and got out of the car.
According to police, Lee left his jail ID card in the front seat.
Officers were able to identify Lee and learned he was in violation of his parole.
Lee was arrested shortly after the initial chase at the corner of Arthur and Ironton.
He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail on charges of evading arrest and violation of his parole.
