DEESA, INDIA -- A 12-year-old girl has had more than 1,000 ants removed from her ears since last August.

Doctors say the ants are nesting in Shreya Darji's ear drum canal and that around 10 live ants crawl out of her ears every day.

Despite numerous attempts, doctors have been unable to keep the ants from breeding inside her ears.

Darji is not experiencing any pain even though doctors said the ants are biting her.

They have found no damage to her eardrums and said they've never seen anything like this in their medical history.
