Frontier Airlines offering "Kids Fly Free" with Discount Den program

    LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Frontier Airlines announced a new way for flyers with families to save money on plane tickets.

    The low-fare airline announced kids under 14 years old can fly for free with an adult when traveling through the Discount Den program.

    “Kids Fly Free shows our continued commitment to being America’s affordable and family-friendly airline,” said Barry Biffle, President and CEO of Frontier Airlines in a statement. “We’re the only airline going all out for families in this way – it’s exactly what we mean at Frontier by Low Fares Done Right.”

    The Discount Den is a program that offers perks, but you must pay a yearly fee to be involved in the program.

    The current price of enrollment is $59.99 to obtain benefits for one year.

    The airline offers the Kids Fly Free program on specific dates and is suggesting families that are looking to take advantage of the deal book their flights early.

    Dates available for Kids Fly Free:

    • February - 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
    • March - 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
    • April - 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30
    • May - 1, 4, 7, 8, 11, 14, 15, 18, 21, 22, 29
    • June - 1, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26
    • July - 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30
    • August - 5, 6

    The airline also wants passengers to know the price of bags and other add-on's are not included in the program.
