Fish and Game forecast for Sunday, June 17th - sponsored by Extreme Detail Hand Wash
Head out just before dawn on Sunday, June 17, 2018. A major Good period begins at 3:15 a.m. and climbs into the Excellent range at 4:30 a.m., staying there until 6:45 a.m. After peaking at 5:40 a.m., activity levels drop out of the Good range at 8 a.m. A later Good period runs from 3:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., peaking at 5:40 p.m.
Walleyes often go really deep in the summer. When trolling the usual baits doesn’t work, try using downriggers. Use electronics to first look for bait concentrations. Then, set lures to run just above the baitfish. Also look for any deep humps, ledges or drop-offs that might hold fish.
