Fish and Game forecast for Tuesday, June 19th - sponsored by Extreme Detail Hand Wash

On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, the strongest Good period of the day begins at 5 a.m. and lasts through 9:45 a.m. The morning peak occurs at 7:20 a.m. A significant evening Good period runs from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., peaking at 8 p.m.

Fiddler crabs make excellent bait for black drum, sheepshead and many other species. These crabs look like miniature blue crabs, but each male crab wields one giant claw. Only use the male crabs for bait. Release the females to reproduce. To fish a fiddler crab, break off the huge claw and toss it into the water for chum. Then, slip a hook through the back of a fiddler crab so that it comes out through the top shell.
