I am ecstatic to be back in the Golden Triangle. For those who may not remember, this will be my second stop in the area. I was a Meteorologist back in the late 90s at KJAC in Port Arthur.
When we moved from the area back in 1999, my wife said that someday we’ll come back. The people here are what makes this area a great place to live.
In between 1999 & 2007, we have made a couple of stops. First we went further south, which I didn’t think was possible. We moved to Harlingen, TX to become the Morning/Noon Meteorologist. After 8 years in the Rio Grande Valley, we moved to the Upper Midwest. There I was the Chief Meteorologist at our sister station KMEG/KPTH-TV in Sioux City, IA.
After 11 years in Sioux City, and with my daughter graduating from high school and electing to attend college down south, I started looking for career shift.
KFDM has a long and storied history that I am very familiar with and when the opportunity came up to join the team, it was a great chance bring my wife back down south and out of the harsh winters.
I have been married to my wife, Stephanie, for more than 20 years. We have a daughter Eryn who is starting college in the fall. So we are all very excited for this exciting next chapter to get off the ground.
